  • A Federal Tax Law in 1993 designated that expenses for lobbying efforts are non-deductible. As a result, a portion of the dues you paid for WSLHA membership is non-deductible. In 2025, 41.5% is non-deductible.

                SLPA MemberMust hold current employment as a speech-language pathology assistant, audiology assistant or educational/instructional assistant specializing in speech, language or hearing disorders. Paraprofessional members are not eligible to vote or hold office but may serve on committees and attend board meetings.

                Clinical FellowMust hold (1) a Master's degree with major emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology or speech, and hearing science, and be engaged in a clinical fellowship employment situation. Eligible for full participation in the organization.

                Student MemberStudents who are pursuing a course of study in speech and hearing or tangent areas in a recognized college or university and who are interested in promoting the purposes, objectives and activities of the Association may become Student members, attend Board meetings and serve on committees but may not chair a committee, hold office or vote.
