    Community Support Grant

    The Washington State Recycling Association's (WSRA) goal is to create an organization where all members feel a sense of belonging and their perspectives are valued. This year the WSRA is providing free conference registration to a limited number of applicants with the goal of reducing financial barriers for professionals at any point in their career. Any details you can provide in your application will help ensure our limited funding best serves our community.   • Eligibility Criteria for WSRA Award Program

    Applicants will be rated for each category listed below by review panel members.

    a. Interest in Subject Matter (5 points):
    Applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest and commitment to the subject matter relevant to our organization's mission and programming.


    b. Driven by Need (10 points):
    Priority will be given to individuals or groups whose projects or initiatives address specific needs within their communities.


    c. Outreach to New Participants (10 points):
    Preference will be given to applicants who aim to engage individuals or groups that haven't traditionally participated in our conferences or events.


    d. Focus on Rural Areas (5 points):
    Special consideration will be given to projects or initiatives targeting rural areas (as defined by the US Census), recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities present in these communities.


    e. Spokane Area/Nearby Conference (10 points):
    Individuals or groups located in the Spokane area or those planning to participate in nearby conferences will be considered, fostering local engagement and collaboration.
