Award Description
This award recognizes individuals or programs that have made significant contributions to the development and implementation of cost-effective and environmentally beneficial biosolids management programs and practices.
Examples of activities may include:
- Operating Projects - outstanding full-scale biosolids recycling projects
- Technology Development - Significant technological improvements developed and fully proven at the operational level
- Research - studies that have substantially contributed to an improved understanding of biosolids beneficial use practices, improved public acceptance, and/or advances in technology
- Public Involvement and Marketing - Significant local, regional, and national activities that have increased the acceptance of biosolids beneficial use practices
- Community Partnerships - Unique and innovative programs and activities with partner agencies, non-profits or businesses in using or promoting biosolids.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a current member of PNCWA, Oregon ACWA, and/or Northwest Biosolids
- Must involve biosolids recycling, technology advancements, research, public acceptance and marketing, or similar projects.
