The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funding for individuals – primarily operators currently employed in the wastewater sector – to seek additional water sector education, training, and/or certification in the industry or to advance their professional knowledge, skill set or licensure.
Applications will be accepted throughout the entire year until the maximum funding amount has been awarded. After the funding for the year has been reached, the scholarship will be closed until the next year.
Scholarship Requirements and Criteria:
- Individuals seeking entry-level operator’s license
- An entry-level or experienced operator seeking professional development in the following areas:
- Municipal wastewater treatment
- Water Reuse
- Sanitary Sewer Collection
Funding through this scholarship will support the following activities:
- Continuing education
- Training
- College classes
- Online courses
- Independent study courses
- Water Professional Conferences
- License application cost
