  • PNCWA Scholarships: Invest in the Future of Water Quality

  • Did you know that each year, PNCWA awards approximately 10 scholarships to operators and students pursuing careers in the water quality field? These scholarships help build a strong pipeline of future professionals. We all have a role to play in ensuring our communities continue to benefit from skilled, passionate water professionals.

Did you know that the average cost of one college credit for a community college is $135 and is $387 for in-state students at a public college? With the average course load of 30 credits per year, the cost of education adds up quickly! PNCWA aims to offset these costs with scholarship awards of $2,000. We warmly welcome your donations to continue this tradition of supporting students in the wastewater industry.

Your donation goes directly into a restricted account used solely for scholarships. PNCWA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all contributions are fully tax-deductible. PNCWA offers seven distinct scholarship funds. Learn more: PNCWA Scholarship Program

Scholarship recipients receive complimentary attendance to the Annual Conference, and several will be joining us in Portland—be sure to congratulate them when you see them!

  • Blanchet House

  • Service Project: Care Kits for Blanchet House

This year, PNCWA and the Lower Columbia Section are proud to support Blanchet House in a hands-on service project to support Portland’s unhoused community by assembling care kits for Blanchet House. Each kit contains essential relief items—clean socks, a rain poncho, hand warmers or gloves, bath wipes, and snacks—that offer comfort and dignity to individuals living outdoors in difficult conditions. By creating these kits, you’re extending kindness and compassion to fellow human beings enduring harsh realities.

Blanchet House volunteers distribute these care kits daily to meal guests, providing not just supplies but a moment of connection and hope. Founded in 1952, Blanchet House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating suffering and offering food, shelter, and community to those in need. Learn more about Blanchet House.

Join PNCWA and the Lower Columbia Section at the Sunday Night Meet and Greet to assemble care kits or give directly to Blanchet House.
