Service Project: Care Kits for Blanchet House
This year, PNCWA and the Lower Columbia Section are proud to support Blanchet House in a hands-on service project to support Portland’s unhoused community by assembling care kits for Blanchet House. Each kit contains essential relief items—clean socks, a rain poncho, hand warmers or gloves, bath wipes, and snacks—that offer comfort and dignity to individuals living outdoors in difficult conditions. By creating these kits, you’re extending kindness and compassion to fellow human beings enduring harsh realities.
Blanchet House volunteers distribute these care kits daily to meal guests, providing not just supplies but a moment of connection and hope. Founded in 1952, Blanchet House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating suffering and offering food, shelter, and community to those in need. Learn more about Blanchet House.
