Boundaries are where we meet people. Boundaries both separate and connect people. There are boundaries in every psychosocial area: social, mental, emotional, spiritual, physical.
This training explores the concept of boundaries within the context of the professional and patient/caregiver experience of illness and end of life. What influences boundaries? What creates boundaries? Who is responsible for boundaries? What to do if a boundary is crossed? What is the difference between a crossing and a violation? “Boundary Work” occurs and various levels. These levels are influenced by stress and resilience, confidence and practice, education and supervision.
