    College Scholarship Application
  • Application Deadline: June 5th, 2026
    TERMS, CONDITIONS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    Purpose: The scholarship is designed to recognize and encourage excellence in the Design-Build approach to Design and Construction. The scholarship is awarded based on merit/academic achievement, demonstrated interest in & understanding of the Design-Build methodology, and leadership skills. Awards to be announced on June 25, 2026. Please submit questions to: office@dbianw.org

    Scholarships Details:

    • Amount: $2,500
    • Available to: Students entering their 3rd year and above of construction and design related fields of study
      • Deadline: June 5th, 2026
  • College Scholarship Requirements

    • Application Form
    • Transcript
    • Candidates must be enrolled, at the time of application, in a trade school, community college, or university in the Northwest Region of the U.S. (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Alaska). Online courses outside of the Northwest Region as defined above are not qualified to apply for this scholarship. DBIA encourages applications from all qualified students. 
    • Student in good standing making reasonable progress towards a degree in; Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architect, Interior Design, or other major pertinent to Design and Construction.
    • 2.7 minimum cumulative G.P.A. (through the latest grading period).
    • Demonstrated interest in Design-Build through internship, project work, or participation in the DBIA Student Chapter.
    • We highly encourage all Applicants to be a student member of DBIA (Local student chapter or DBIA student member). If you are not already a member or need assistance with becoming a member, please visit the DBIA website at: http://www.dbia.org/about/Join/Pages/default.aspx
    • Leadership positions/activities on campus and/or community service activities, particularly those that relate to design and construction.

    Terms

    • College Scholarship recipients will receive funds in (1) one installment in the fall of 2025.
    • This College Scholarship Award will be paid directly to the institution the student is attending Fall of 2025.
    • Previous DBIA-NW scholarship recipients are not eligible to submit.
    • Awarded recipients will be invited to attend the DBIA NW annual golf tournament at The Plateau Club in Sammamish, WA on July 28, 2025. Scholarships will be presented before the shotgun start of the tournament and recipients will be invited to attend dinner following the event.
